ADD ON COMPUTER SYSTEMS
It is a common requirement in the manufacture of Test Machines to provide some form of add on computer for purposes of Data Logging and/or higher level control than provided by standard P.L.C.s (Programmable Logic Controllers). The computer would normally interact with the PLC via a communications link.

The computers provided are Industrial Grade PC* systems and may by with/without screen and keyboard. The units are either 19 inch rack mounting or panel mounting, depending on the type of cabinets used.

Programming of the computers is in C++ or Visual Basic, with the source provided as part of the system documentation.
 

*PC means I.B.M. Personal Computer compatible type.
